entral Indiana Women's Indoor Tennis League (CIWITL)
Come join the FUN in CIWITL!
CIWITL is our indoor tennis league for women who are members of tennis clubs throughout Central Indiana. Our league is divided into teams by playing level. (See the NTPR chart below.) The teams practice once a week for 1.5 hours and they play matches approximately once a month on various Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays between 11 AM and 2 pm. Each match consists of 12 women playing doubles. Matches cost $14 /person. Lunch is served between the morning and afternoon maches. It's a great way to meet new friends and socialize. The CIWITL season begins in September and runs until May.
The National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) is the official system for determining the levels of competition for the USA League Tennis. Teams are formed by the following NTRP ratings:
| "A" team = 4.1 - 4.5 | "B" team = 3.6 - 4.0 | "C" team = 3.1 - 3.5 |
| "Q" team = 2.6 - 3.0 | "X" team = 2.0 - 2.5 |
