Since 1996 more than $58,000 has been awarded to 87 Hamilton County high school tennis players by HCCTA. These scholarships are open to high school tennis players residing in Hamilton County. In addition to HCCTA community service the scholarship is based on and academic and tennis achievements. Scholarship applications are accepted February 1-April 1 via email only to helen.petersen@hccta.org.

Applications must include the applicant’s high school transcript, a list of HCCTA volunteer activities, home address/email/phone, parents’ name/contact info and a JPEG head shot photo. Eligible applicants must meet these criteria before applying:

  1. Be a Hamilton County resident.
  2. Played on high school tennis team for two years.
  3. Currently be in good standing with high school team.
  4. Completed at least 50 hours of HCCTA community service.

Applicants are ranked according the number of hours they completed. Academic excellence and tennis skill are also considered. Winners can receive up to a $1000. The scholarship committee makes its selection after Spring Break and the winners are announced at their school’s senior awards night.
