Helping Girls Reach New Heights
On February 6, 2019, the Women’s Sports Foundation will recognize CRC pro Maggie Petersen in its National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration, a national program to honor women who have encouraged girls and women through sports. Her success in bringing tennis to girls and women will be on the  (Click EVENTS and enter 46032)





Maggie is a USPTA certified teaching pro. She has been teaching at Carmel Racquet Club since 2016. As Hamilton County Community Tennis Association’s tennis director, Maggie grew the tennis programs in five years from 180 to 1300 players per year with year-round programs.  In 2016 Maggie became the HCCTA Executive Director. Maggie is an Indiana University Kelley School of Business and Stetson University Law

School graduate.

Title IX ensures that students receive educational opportunities free from discrimination based on sex. It’s a short and simple law, but it has truly changed the game for girls and women in sports.
