Helen Petersen, CRC Marketing Director and founder of Hamilton County Community Tennis Association/HCCTA was recognized twice this Spring by USTA for her more than 30 years as a USTA volunteer and the creator of the Champion Reads(R) program. In March USTA Florida selected her as its Volunteer of the Month for being a guest reader in a Florida school during Black History Month.  She read Champion Citizen: Arthur Ashe. In May USTA NJTL featured her as one of the 50 significant NJTL volunteers as NJTL celebrates its 50 anniversary. NJTL is a public parks youth tennis program founded by Arthur Ashe in 1969. Helen served in many capacities including president of Indianapolis NJTL and chair of the USTA NJTL committee.
